Visakhapatnam: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will arrive at INS Dega in Visakhapatnam by a special Air Force aircraft on Friday. He will be received by flag officer commanding-in-chief Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendherkar and other senior officials of the command.
This is the first time Rajnath Singh is arriving in Vizag after taking over as the defence minister once again following the Lok Sabha general elections.
The defence minister will fly by helicopter to one of the major ships of the Eastern Naval Command in the sea for an inspection. All the warships would be present on the occasion.
Rajnath Singh assumed change at the South Block Office and immediately chaired a review meeting on the first 100 days’ action plan of his ministry with special focus on ex-servicemen welfare.
He instructed officers to re-dedicate themselves to achieve the desired results as per the action plan.
