Devi Navarathri Celebrations Start from Oct. 3
Kakinada:The famous Bala Tripura Sundari Devi Navarathri celebrations at Devichowk in Rajamahendravaram will be celebrated between October 3 and 13. The celebrations will include cultural programmes like "Pouranika and Sanghika Natakams’’, said the Sridevi Utsava Committee president Bathula Raja Rjeswara Rao to the media at Rajamahendravaram on Saturday.
He gave the schedule of the celebrations. The idol of the Goddess will be installed on the first days of the celebrations. The couples puja will be held on September 6 and the Anna Danam programme to be held on September 20. On the first day, the Goddess will appear as Sri Swarnakavacha Kanaka Durga Devi, as Gayathri Devi on the second day, Annapurna Devi on the third day, Mahalakshmi Devi on the fourth day, Bala Tripura Sundari Devi on the fifth day, Sri Lalitha Tripura Sundari Devi on the sixth day, Saraswathi Devi on the seventh day, Durga Devi on the eighth day, Mahishasura Mardhani on the ninth day and Raja Rajeswari Devi on the 10th day.
Every day palys (natakams) will be performed from 10 pm and the repository includes plays like Kanaka Durga Mahatyam, Sathya Harischandra, Raja Narathaki, Orchestras, Rendu Ratnalu, Bhu Kailas, Moodu Ratnalu, Sriramanjaneya Yuddam and Kurukshetram will be performed on the last day. The committee vice president Muthyala Kumara Reddy, Gandham Bhyarava Swamy, Akula Venkateswara Rao, Secretary Allaka Satyanarayana and others were present.
