Devotees start reaching Shiva temples in Godavari districts
Many devotees have started reaching the Shiva temples in the erstwhile East and West Godavari districts from far off places for having a darshan of Lord Shiva on the eve of Maha Shivaratri festival.

Kakinada:Many devotees have started reaching the Shiva temples in the erstwhile East and West Godavari districts from far off places for having a darshan of Lord Shiva on the eve of Maha Shivaratri festival.
Officials have already erected tents and pandals for the devotees to relax. Many of the devotees want to take the first darshan of Lord Shiva by 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
Collectors of five districts S. Shan Mohan (Kakinada), P. Prashanthi (East Godavari), Ch. Nagarani (West Godavari), K. Vetri Selvi (Eluru) and R. Mahesh Kumar Dr. Ambedkar Konaseema) are closely monitoring the arrangements and crowd management along the Godavari River.
Collector Vetri Selvi has ordered officials to have expert swimmers at Pattiseema, as many devotees will reach Sri Veerabhadreshwara Swamy Temple at Pattiseema by boats from the Godavari river shore. She ordered officials to ensure that there is no overloading of boats.
