Devotees throng temples across Vijayawada on Vaikunta Ekadasi

Vijayawada: Thousands of devotees thronged Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temples across Vijayawada city early on Friday on the auspicious occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi to catch a glimpse of the presiding deity through the Vaikunta Dwaram.
Temples in Labbipet, M.G. Road, and Venkatapalem witnessed a huge rush hundreds queued up to seek blessings from Lord Venkateswara.
Similarly, Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam Temple on Indrakeeladri, Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Mangalagiri, and the ISKCON Temple saw a heavy influx of devotees, who stood in serpentine queues before having their darshan.
On the occasion, temples were adorned with vibrant floral decorations. Priests performed special puja rituals. The rush of devotees continued throughout the day. It is expected to persist on the auspicious Vaikunta Dwadasi too.
