Visakhapatnam: The district collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad has outlined an ambitious plan to drive significant economic growth in the district over the next five years.
In a review meeting on Monday, he urged district officials to align their efforts with the state’s broader development vision, Swarnandhra Vision 2047, and the district-specific Visakha Vision 2029.
The collector set a challenging target of 15 per cent annual GDP growth, emphasising the need for a focused approach to sectors like education, healthcare, agriculture, and rural development.
He stressed the importance of creating a comprehensive action plan that not only boosts economic prosperity but also improves the quality of life for all residents.A key focus of the plan will be on increasing per capita income. The collector directed officials to develop detailed strategies at both district and mandal levels, ensuring that the vision document is finalized by Thursday. Joint collector K. Mayur Ashok and other district officials attended the meeting, reaffirming their commitment to working collaboratively towards these ambitious goals.
