Kurnool: Kurnool district collector P. Ranjit Basha on Wednesday instructed officials to explore the potential of transforming the villages of Veldurthi, Ulchala, Panchalingala, Gargeyapuram, Parla and C. Belagal mandals into model solar villages. He emphasised the need for the installation of solar panels on the roofs of government offices with the help of the National Thermal Power Corporation and directed authorities to initiate the process.
The Collector highlighted that household users will receive subsidies under the Prime Minister's Surya Ghar Yojana scheme and urged consumers to take advantage of this scheme by applying through the website www.pmsuryaghar.gov.in/APSPDCL. Both urban and rural people are eligible for the scheme. Senior officials from various departments were present during the meeting.
