Fatal Road Accident Claims Lives of Two Fishermen in Konaseema

Kakinada: Two fishermen lost their lives in a tragic road accident that occurred in Konaseema district today. Lanke Suribabu, 49, and Vanamadi Saibabu, 62, residents of Gummileru village in Alamuru mandal, were reportedly on their way to Tungapadu village for a fishing trip. Their vehicle, a four-wheeler, collided head-on with a tractor carrying rice supplied by the Civil Supplies Corporation.

According to sub-inspector L. Srinu Naick of Alamuru police station, the accident happened this morning. The impact of the collision resulted in the immediate deaths of the two fishermen. Three other fishermen who were present in the vehicle sustained injuries and were admitted to the government hospital for treatment.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
