Gandikota Fete: Entries Invited for Logo Design, Tagline Competition

Anantapur: Kadapa collector Shivashankar Lotheti on Wednesday invited entries for participating in logo design and tagline competitions for Gandikota, the grand canyon of south on the occasion of the World Tourism Day on September 27.

The collector conducted a meeting with the Gandikota Development Committee at Kadapa collectorate on Wednesday. SP Harshavardhan Raju, DFO Sandeep Reddy, DRO Gangadhar Gowd, special officer Suresh Kumar, tourism officer Ramkumar and several others participated in the meeting.

Collector Shivashankar announced that World Tourism Day will be celebrated in a grand manner at Gandikota on September 27. A separate committee will be formed to supervise the celebrations at the historic tourism spot.

On the occasion, a competition will be conducted on designing of logo and a tagline. The best logo will get a cash award of `25,000 while the best tagline will get a cash prize of Rs15,000, the collector said. Candidates can send their entries to visitgandikota@gmail.com by September 22 evening.

The collector directed officials to set up a horse riding track, a selfie point and boating at Mylavaram to attract tourists. Sign boards will be displayed at all important points to highlight the tourism spot.
