Visakhapatnam: A gas cylinder explosion at a residence in Indira Gandhi Nagar, Visakhapatnam, has left five individuals injured, with one woman reported to be in critical condition. The incident occurred around 10 PM on Wednesday night, causing panic among local residents.
The explosion took place at a home in the Old Dairy Farm area of Indira Gandhi Nagar due to a malfunctioning gas cylinder. Among the injured are two women, one man, and two children. The victims have been identified as G. Satyavati (28), Nandini (28), Venkat (27), Raju (10), and Sanju (13).
Malleswar Rao, Arilova CI, confirmed that emergency services swiftly transported the injured to VIMS Hospital for treatment. While four of the victims sustained minor injuries, one woman is in serious condition and undergoing treatment.
