Gurumurthy assumes charge as chairman of Gowda corporation
Vijayawada: Veeranki Venkata Gurumurthy has assumed charge as chairman of the AP Gowda Welfare and Development Corporation at a programme held here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, he vowed efforts to revive the handicrafts of the BCs and assured efforts to encourage the Neera byproducts in AP similar on the lines of Kerala to enable the BCs to become financially strong.
Minister for housing Kolusu Parthasarathi said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was extending several schemes for the benefit of BCs.
Minister for revenue Anagani Satyaprasad credited the CM for getting Vision Document for the development of AP.
Minister for health Satya Kumar Yadav alleged that BC sub plan funds were diverted earlier and attributed credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving freedom to the states to take up census for BC castes.
