Hajj registration extended till Sept. 23
Minister for minority welfare N.Md Farooq announced today that the registration period for the Hajj pilgrimage has been extended to September 23. Previously set to end on September 9, this extension will allow more individuals to register for Hajj-2025. The Minister highlighted that applications are being accepted online and outlined the requirements: pilgrims must possess a machine-readable Indian passport valid until January 15, 2026. There are no age restrictions, but children will incur a fee equivalent to 10% of the total airfare. Additionally, individuals above two years of age will be charged as adults. Those selected for the pilgrimage must also submit a medical screening and fitness certificate.
