‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally ignites patriotic fervour in Tirupati

Tirupati:As part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Har Ghar Tiranga' programme, a rally was organised on Tuesday morning from the Mahati Auditorium to the Sri Venkateswara University’s stadium under the auspices of the AP tourism department and the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT). The municipal commissioner Narapureddy Maurya and district superintendent of police L. Subba Rayudu participated in the rally, along with other officials.

Speaking at the event, the commissioner stated that before the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' programme, the national flag was only hoisted on government buildings. Now, as India celebrates 75 years of independence and following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call, the programme aims to hoist the national flag on every house. She added that through rallies, competitions, and marathons, the programme seeks to raise awareness and promote patriotism and unity among the people.

The SP emphasised that India has a youth population unmatched by any other country in the world. He urged every young person to cultivate a sense of patriotism and set goals in their lives to achieve great heights. Rayudu said the rally, marking 75 years of India's independence, is aimed to instil a sense of national pride and unity among the participants, especially the youth.

The event was attended by regional director of tourism Ramana Prasad, district tourism officer Rupendranath Reddy, professor Rajani, NCC cadets, students and other officials.
