Visakhapatnam: A government school headmaster in Vizianagaram district has been arrested on charges of sexual assault. Srinivasa Rao, the headmaster of Madhupada Government School in Gantyada Mandal, allegedly assaulted a woman who had approached him to rectify errors in her son's school certificates.

According to reports, the mother visited the school on November 14 seeking assistance with her son's paperwork. Srinivasa Rao assured her that he could help, suggesting they travel together to Srungavarapukota to address the issues directly with the relevant authorities. Trusting his words, the woman agreed to accompany him on his motorcycle.

However, during the journey, he diverted to a garden where he allegedly attempted to blackmail her, insisting that she fulfil his demands in exchange for correcting her son's documents. Despite her protests and screams for help, which lasted for over an hour, no one came to her aid. Eventually, the headmaster abandoned her on the roadside at Pandhara Appanna Junction after threatening her about the consequences for her son’s certificates if she did not comply.

Following the abuse, the woman contacted her husband, who rushed to her location. Together, they proceeded to the women Police Station and filed a formal complaint. The case has been documented under number 209/24 at Srungavarapukota police station and investigation is going on.
