Amaravati: The impact of Cyclone Fengal has led to heavy rainfall throughout Nellore district, with the India Meteorological Department issuing warnings that the intense rain could persist for an additional two days. Over the last three days, continuous downpours have caused irrigation channels essential for paddy cultivation to overflow, submerging agricultural lands.
Places like Kodavalur, Vidavalur, Allur, Bogolu, Buchireddipalem, Venkatachalam, and Manubolu have experienced significant agricultural losses, sparking worries among the local farming community.
