If potholes appear, officials to be suspended: AP Housing Minister
Kakinada: Housing minister K. Partha Saradhi stated that patchwork on potholes would be completed by Sankranti, and if any potholes appear thereafter, the officials responsible would be suspended. He laid the foundation stone for road development works at Chatrayi, costing Rs 25 lakhs, and at Chanubanda village in Chatrayi mandal of Eluru district, costing Rs 50 lakhs, on Sunday. He mentioned that patchwork for potholes has been undertaken at a cost of Rs 820 crores across the state, of which Rs 76 crores have been sanctioned for Eluru district. He assured that after completing the pothole repairs in January, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would visit the district, and any officials responsible for new potholes would face suspension.
Additionally, he indicated that Rs 20 crores would be allocated for this purpose in the Nuzvid constituency. He remarked that the previous government had damaged the state's financial condition, but now Chandrababu Naidu is working to restore the state's economic stability. He also noted that the state government is spending Rs 2,684 crores on the free gas cylinder scheme to fulfil the NDA's pre-election promises. He took darshan of Uma Koteswara Swamy in Polavaram village in Chatrai mandal and Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Adavinekkalam village in Agiripalli mandal before launching the works.
