Commissioner of School Education has appointed M.R. Prasanna Kumar, additional director of School Education as inquiry officer to hold an inquiry on a petition filed by TD MLC Rama Gopal Reddy against Kadapa regional joint director of School Education Y. Raghava Reddy.
The TD MLC has alleged that while being the district educational officer of Kadapa, Raghava Reddy had violated norms favouring YSRC in all ways. including favouring the YSRC candidate in the MLC polls.
In addition, Rama Gopal Reddy accused Raghava Reddy of being involved in various irregularities while working as DEO of Kadapa previously, including abusing teachers, misbehaving with women teachers, and transferring teachers in violation of rules.
The TD MLC also submitted a petition to education minister Nara Lokesh a few days ago against Raghava Reddy.
Following a directive by Lokesh to conduct an inquiry against Raghava Reddy, who is presently the regional joint director, the school education commissioner has ordered a probe by additional director of School Education Prasanna Kumar into the petition filed by the MLC.
