Intermediate Exams in AP to Begin From March 1
Andhra Pradesh Gears Up for Smooth Conduct of Intermediate Exams Amid Summer Preparations

Vijayawada: Chief secretary K. Vijayanand on Thursday announced that the intermediate examinations in Andhra Pradesh will be held from March 1 to March 20.
While the first-year exams will be held from March 1 to March 19, second-year examinations are scheduled from March 3 to March 20. The exams will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily. A total of 10,58,892 students will appear for the examinations at 1,535 exam centres in 26 districts of the state.
The CS said similarly, Andhra Pradesh Open School Society intermediate examinations will be held from March 3 to March 15. A total of 67,952 students will appear for these exams at 325 centres.
Addressing a meeting in this regard, he directed collectors and SPs to make adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examinations, including at 68 centres that are sensitive and 36 centres, which are vulnerable.
In view of the summer, Vijayanand asked collectors to take appropriate measures to ensure that minimum facilities like drinking water, first aid, electricity and benches are available at the respective exam centres. He said strict action will be taken against those who spread rumours like paper leakage.
Education Secretary K. Shashidhar said extensive arrangements are being made for the conduct of intermediate examinations. RTC will be running adequate buses so that students reach their respective examination centres on time. He said a toll-free number 1800 425 1531 control room has been set up at the state level to receive complaints during the conduct of the examinations. Similarly, collectors will set up control rooms at the district centres as well.
Adult Education director Kritika Shukla said question papers will be kept in the safe custody of police stations before being taken to the respective examination centres.
