Jagan Pays Tributes to YSR at Idupulapaya
ANANTAPUR: Former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s 15th death anniversary was observed across all parts of the state on Monday. YSRC president and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy paid floral tributes to his father at Idupulapaya in Pulivendula constituency in Kadapa district on Monday. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been in the Kadapa district for the last two days to attend several programmes, arrived at Idupulapaya from Pulivendula in the morning.
Accompanied by his mother Y.S. Vijayamma and wife Y.S. Bharathi, he paid floral tributes at YSR ghat. The family members attended the prayers held on the occasion. Jagan Mohan Reddy tweeted in X saying ‘Miss U dad’ along with pictures of offering prayers at Idupulapaya. He was accompanied by a large number of YSRC leaders and family members. After attending prayers, Jagan Mohan Reddy went to Tadepalli.
Later, APCC chief Y.S. Sharmila paid floral tribute to her father along with her mother Y.S. Vijayamma and also several Congress leaders. She joined in the prayers at the YSR ghat. Speaking on the occasion, Sharmila recalled that YSR was the only Chief Minister who led the welfare of the state during his tenure. “But, none of the initiatives of YSR have been implemented in the past 10 years during the YSRC and TD governments”, she lamented.
