Jaipur Cops Arrest Woman Who Made Allegations Against Jana Sena Leader Kiran Rayal

Tirupati: A woman T. Lakshmi Reddy, who made allegations against Tirupati Jana Sena leader Kiran Rayal, was arrested by the Jaipur police, on Monday, in connection with an online fraud case. She was taken into custody shortly after addressing the media at the Tirupati Press Club and later shifted to the SVU police station in Tirupati for further action.

Lakshmi Reddy had accused Kiran Rayal of “financial misconduct” as well as issuing “threats”. She also claimed that he owed her Rs 1.20 crore and also put her life at risk. She had also approached the superintendent of police (SP), seeking protection and also sought deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s intervention in the matter.

In response to the allegations, Jana Sena leader Kiran Rayal had filed a complaint with the Tirupati additional SP, wherein he alleged that his phone data was stolen and it was being used to threaten him.

He accused YSRC leaders of orchestrating a political conspiracy against him by reviving an old issue that was resolved a decade ago. He also claimed that “false propaganda” was being spread through social media against him. He announced to file a writ petition in the court.

Meanwhile, Jana Sena gave a reply issuing an official statement on Sunday. The party confirmed that its president Pawan Kalyan had ordered a thorough inquiry into the matter. Until the investigation was over, Kiran Rayal has been asked to stay away from party activities. The party also told its members to focus on public issues rather than indulging in personal matter.
