JS Calls for Annulment of Illegal TDRs in GVMC

Jana Sena Corporator warns that failure to act could result in revenue losses worth hundreds of crores for GVMC

Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena corporator Peethala Murthy Yadav has raised concerns over illegal transferable development rights (TDRs) linked to the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC). He has demanded the annulment of these illicit TDRs and criminal action against those involved, warning that failure to act could result in revenue losses worth hundreds of crores for GVMC.

Yadav alleges that a large-scale fraud is being carried out under the guise of TDRs within GVMC. He claims that individuals who unlawfully profited from TDRs during the YSRC regime are now using their influence over NDA alliance leaders to gain further benefits. He has urged GVMC officials to take immediate steps to address these irregularities.

He further alleges that certain GVMC officials may be conspiring to shift blame for past TDR scams onto NDA leaders. Highlighting the misallocation of TDRs to D-patta and temple lands under YSRC rule, he warns that the YSRC’s TDR network continues to function with minimal scrutiny, despite the coalition government’s ongoing investigation.
