Kadapa Police Bid Farewell to Long-Serving Sniffer Dog

ANANTAPUR: Kadapa SP Harshavardhan Raju on Friday felicitated Sunny, a sniffer dog that provided 11 years of service in the department and retired from services on Friday.

Sunny, a labrador, was born in 2012 and entered service after one year of training. The dog was part of the security during VVIP visits and also during Krishna, Godavari Pushkaralu and also regular duties at Tirumala Brahmotsavalu. Harshavardhan Raju cut a cake and felicitated the sniffer dog on the occasion of its retirement at Pennar police hall in Kadapa. He directed his handler Sudhir Raja to maintain the dog with similar care.
