Leverage Technology and Lay Quality Roads in Villages: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan directed the panchayat raj and rural development department officials to leverage technology and lay quality pucca roads in all villages with a population above 250, and to construct connecting roads between villages using funds from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The Deputy Chief Minister held a meeting with AIIB representatives Pawan Karki, Toshik Rahman, and panchayat raj and rural development department officials at his camp office to review the project aimed at constructing roads in villages across the state on Friday.

Emphasising the importance of construction quality, Pawan Kalyan directed the officials to utilise advanced technology for laying pucca roads in villages that are resistant to being washed away or damaged due to rains and floods. Addressing the officials during the review meeting, Pawan Kalyan told authorities to closely monitor road construction to ensure that contractors build roads that last. He also directed officials to expedite the construction process, aiming for every village to have pucca roads by the project's completion.
