Loco Pilot Injured In Stone Pelting On GT Express Near Singarayakonda
Chennai-bound Grand Trunk Express was recently targeted by anti-social elements near the Singarayakonda-Ulavapadu stretch in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.

Prakasam: A loco pilot sustained serious injuries after unidentified miscreants pelted stones and heavy objects at the Delhi-Chennai Grand Trunk Express as it passed through the Singarayakonda–Ulavapadu stretch, in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district, on Thursday night
According to reports, the objects struck the engine cabin, shattering the windshield and seriously injuring on-duty Senior Assistant Loco Pilot M. Jayaram. Despite the attack, the loco pilots continued the journey and halted the train at the nearest UPD station in Ulavapadu. Railway officials and emergency personnel immediately rushed Jayaram to a nearby hospital was given initial treatment and later shifted to a hospital in Vijayawada. Railway authorities said Jayaram is stable and undergoing treatment. Both railway officials and local police have launched an investigation into the incident.
A video showing the injured loco pilot seated with his head down inside the engine cabin, surrounded by shattered glass, is currently circulating on social media.
