Lokesh praises PM for AP’s development

Visakhapatnam: State Education, IT, and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his contributions to the development of Andhra Pradesh.

“The state, which was struggling due to the mismanagement of the previous government, is now receiving vital support from the central government,” he said at the event here on Wednesday in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the star attraction.
Speaking at the event held at the Engineering College grounds, Lokesh said, "The AP government is managing the state’s affairs with a monthly deficit budget of `4,000 crore. Prime Minister Modi is providing the much-needed oxygen to a state on the verge of collapse. The central government has allocated `15,000 crore for Amaravati and `12,157 crore for the Polavaram project. The work on Bhogapuram airport has been accelerated only after the coalition government came to power.”
Welcoming the PM to Visakhapatnam, Lokesh said Modi redefined the role of Prime Minister. "Narendra Modi is not just a Prime Minister; he is the people's leader. He embodies the trust and aspirations of the poor, he works for the empowerment of women, and he is also the hope of the youth. Under his leadership, the Indian economy has risen from the 11th position in 2014 to the 5th in the world,” he said.
Lokesh cited an alignment between Modi's vision of Vikasit Bharat 2047 and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s Swarnandhra 2047. He said the projects initiated by the PM on Wednesday would leave an indelible mark on Andhra Pradesh's history.
He thanked the Prime Minister for addressing the state’s long-standing demands, such as the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, and for launching transformative initiatives like the NTPC Green Hydrogen Hub, the Bulk Drug Park, and road development projects.
Lokesh noted that strong states are the foundation of a strong nation and called on the people to support the NDA’s vision for a brighter future. "From North to South, East to West, the Namo wave is uniting India. Let us work together to achieve the goals of Vikasit Bharat 2047 and make Andhra Pradesh a partner in building a prosperous and powerful India,” Lokesh said.
