Lovers Die by Suicide After Parents Refuse to Accept Marriage

Anantapur:A couple died by suicide near Maddikera in the Guntakal Railway division after their parents refused to accept their marriage on Wednesday.

According to Guntakal railway police, Meena and Kuladeep Pariyar, both from Madhya Pradesh, were living in Guntakal where they ran pani puri stalls. Meena, a first-year graduate student, fell in love with Kuladeep. The families lived in Ramalinga Complex on Kasapuram Road in Guntakal town, Anantapur district.

When their relationship became known, their parents refused to sanction the marriage. In response, Meena and Kuladeep took the drastic step of ending their lives near Maddikera. The police found a suicide note stating that no one was responsible for their deaths.

The bodies have been handed over to their families after a post-mortem examination.
