Man Alleges Rs 10 Crore TTD Lands Encroached in Tirupati

Vijayawada: A man identified as J. Srinivas has complained about the encroachment of lands worth Rs 10 crore belonging to the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams (TTD) in Nagalapuram village of Tirupati district.

Srinivas submitted a petition to MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy during the BJP’s ‘Varadhi’ programme at the party office on Tuesday. He alleged that two acres of land were encroached upon by a former VRO and former MPTC from the YSRC, along with some local residents. He further claimed that a 200-foot-long road on Bazar Street in the town was also encroached upon by a retired employee, Chinthalapudi Maniratnam, and his son Krishna, using fake documents.

Srinivas stated that he had previously complained to the then-collector Bharat Gupta but received no response. He added that even after submitting a petition with proof to another collector Venkata Ramana Reddy, and the then-joint collector D.K. Balaji, no action was taken. He mentioned that although they obtained an order from the Andhra Pradesh High Court regarding the road encroachment, officials failed to act.

He demanded action against those who have encroached upon even the village cemetery and called for the release of the occupied lands.

BJP vice president S. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, party disciplinary committee chairman Paka Venkata Satyanarayan, and ‘Varadhi’ coordinator Kilari Dileep were present.
