Man dies after falling into boiler plant

Visakhapatnam: Randhi Suryanarayana, a manager at a pharmaceutical company, tragically died after falling into a boiler plant. Deputy superintendent of police K.V. Satyanarayana of Parwada told Deccan Chronicle that the initial investigation suggest no foul play on the company's part. "There is no indication of wrongdoing. It seems Suryanarayana may have taken his own life, as he had no apparent reason to be in the boiler area," said the DSP. He added that Suryanarayana had shown signs of distress over the past two days, reportedly related to family disputes. The body has been sent for a postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.

However, Suryanarayana's family has raised concerns about the circumstances of his death. They reported that he entered the company premises on Tuesday and did not return home. When they inquired about his whereabouts, company representatives allegedly said he had exited through a back gate due to personal issues. After filing a complaint with the Parwada police station, the family learned on Thursday morning that he had died.

The deceased's relatives are demanding accountability, alleging that pharmaceutical companies often neglect worker safety. They are demanding the company pay them a compensation of Rs 2.5 crore for Suryanarayana’s death.
