Man kills wife with axe in Nandyal in AP
Kurnool: A 48-year-old woman, Sugunamma was murdered allegedly by her husband Ramana at their house at Kanakadri village in Kolimigundla mandal in Nandyal on Sunday.
Ramana killed his wife with an axe after a quarrel with her, according to the police. Ramana used to return home every day late after consuming alcohol. He would then pick up a quarrel with her on trivial issues and beat her up severely without any reason.
As usual Ramana returned home in an inebriated condition and argued with her. When she strongly objected to it, Ramana got infuriated and in a fit of rage he attacked her with an axe resulting in her death instantly. Upon knowing about the incident, the villagers rushed to the spot and alerted the police.
The police booked a murder case under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and took up investigation.
