Mediation training starts for judicial officers
Visakhapatnam:A comprehensive 40-hour mediation training programme for judicial officers from four coastal Andhra districts commenced on Monday at the New 10 Courts Complex in Visakhapatnam.
The intensive training programme, running from December 16 to December 20, marks a significant initiative to enhance alternative dispute resolution skills among the judges from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and East Godavari districts.
Prominent legal persons inaugurated the training session, including M. Nageswara Rao, IV Additional District and Sessions Judge and Gandham Sunitha, Principal District and Sessions Judge from East Godavari.
Resource persons for the programme include Nagina Jain and Neena Khare, both trainers from the Supreme Court Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) in New Delhi. G. Gopi, chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax Appellate Tribunal, participated in the inaugural session.
The training aims to equip judges with advanced mediation skills focusing on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms that can provide more efficient justice delivery mechanisms and help reduce court backlogs.
