Minister Anam Presents Silk Robes to Swamy, Ammavaru

Endowments commissioner Ramachandra Mohan, district collector Rajakumari and other officials participated in the ceremony.

Kurnool: Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, along with local MLA Budda Rajasekhara Reddy, offered silk robes to Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba Ammavaru at Srisailam during the Mahashivaratri Brahmotsavam on behalf of the state government on Sunday.

Endowments commissioner Ramachandra Mohan, district collector Rajakumari and other officials participated in the ceremony.

Following the tradition, temple officials, priests and Vedic scholars welcomed the minister at the Rajagopuram.

The silk robes were then formally offered in a special puja before these were presented to the deities inside the temple.

Every year, the state government offers silk robes to the Lord and the Goddess during Mahashivaratri and Dasara. Similarly, the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy temple officials from Vijayawada also offered silk robes.

Meanwhile, Nandyal district additional SP (Admin) Yugandhar Babu said special steps have been taken to ensure smooth traffic flow for the devotees.

Around 800 personnel have been deployed for traffic control across key areas, including Mukha Dwaram, Sakshi Ganapathi temple, Hatakeswaram and Ramayya turning tollgate. Patrolling is being conducted with 8 Rakshak vehicles and 20 Blue Colts vehicles, while 8 drone cameras monitored the crowd to prevent any incidents.

Check posts have been set up at important locations and heavy goods vehicles are restricted from entering Srisailam. Parking facilities have been arranged for buses from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka at the Outer Ring Road and Yagnasala areas, while cars and light vehicles are being accommodated at a new parking lot on Outer Ring Road.
