Anantapur: A 13-year-old orphan girl impregnated as four youths lured her by offering basic things at Srikalahasti in Tirupati district on Saturday. The incident came to light after the girl's grandmother identified the girl was pregnant and lodged a complaint with II town police at Srikalahasti. The victim was studying Class 9 at a government school in Srikalahasti and living with her grandmother.
As per the police, four youths lured the girl by offering her the necessary things for the past few days and sexually assaulted her. The grandmother noticed the girl was pregnant and approached police. Police registered a case against Chandra, Madhu and Sunil of Srikalahasti and another person from Tirupati. Police launched a hunt for the accused.
Couple killed in blast
A wife and husband were burnt alive and their son sustained serious injuries when a blast occurred at a firecrackers manufacturing unit near Gangavaram in Chittoor district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Khadar Bhasha and his wife Shahina, who were allegedly running the manufacturing unit without any license. They only had a license to sell firecrackers but ran the manufacturing unit.
When the blast occurred in the unit, Khadar Bhasha and Shahina died on the spot with serious injuries. Their son suffered serious injuries and locals shifted him to a hospital. Police are investigating the case to find out the reason for the blast.
