Visakhapatnam: A 14-year-old girl, Baddi Darsini, a Class IX student, was allegedly stabbed to death by a boy named Suresh in Koppu Gunda Palem village of Anakapalli district on Saturday. The incident occurred when the victim visited her grandmother’s house.
Anakapalli superintendent of police K.V. Murali Krishna told Deccan Chronicle that the victim and the accused know each other and had been in a physical relationship for the past two years.
According to the SP, the accused Suresh is an ITI graduate who previously worked as a freelancer at a pharmaceutical company. The victim's grandmother reportedly witnessed the attack. A case has been booked and the police are verifying the weapon used in the crime, the SP said. A team of forensic experts, along with a dog squad, is investigating the incident.
"The victim is a minor, so we are also investigating the nature of their physical relationship," the SP said. The accused is absconding and a special police team has been formed to apprehend him.
