Moderate rainfall in AP for next three days
Vijayawada: A severe low pressure area continues to develop over the southwest and west-central Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that this low pressure is gradually moving west-southwestwards and will weaken by Wednesday.
Due to these weather conditions, rains and thunderstorms are expected to occur over the next three days, particularly in Nellore, Chittoor, Prakasam, and Sri Potti Sriramulu districts on Wednesday. The IMD has issued a warning for fishermen, advising them not to venture into the sea on December 25.
Rainfall is expected to decrease after Saturday, December 28. On Tuesday, December 24, districts including East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Vizianagaram, Krishna, Bapatla, and Eluru received light rain, accompanied by cold winds.
Minimum temperatures across the state have fallen by 3 to 7 degrees, with areas such as Nandigama, Gannavaram, Lingapatnam, Visakhapatnam, Tuni, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Bapatla, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore, and Tirupati experiencing cold conditions. The temperatures in the Telugu states have remained at their lowest levels in the last 10 to 15 days due to the impact of the low pressure system.
