Modi to initiate, inaugurate several development works in Andhra Pradesh today
Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to initiate and inaugurate several development projects in the East Coast of Andhra Pradesh this evening.
Projects worth Rs 2.08 lakh crore are expected to boost the economy of the state. They will be funded by the central and state governments jointly.
Modi will initiate the long-pending dream of Visakha Railway Zone, NTPC Green Hydrogen Hub and Bulk Drug Park in Anakapalle.
Modi will inaugurate railway lines, doubling and electrification works, apart from dedicating national highways to the nation.
In the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, he will inaugurate works for development works in Kris City.
All these projects would be launched in Vizag and the NDA coalition government made arrangements for a huge public meeting on the occasion.
Following are the projects to be inaugurated today
NTPC Green Hydrogen Hub would be set up in 1,200 acres at Pudimadaka in Achutapuram mandal, Anakapalli district, at a cost of Rs 1.85 lakh crore. This project is expected to generate employment to oVer 25,000 youth and 1,500 tonnes of Green Hydrogen would be manufactured which would then be exported to foreign countries.
In united Visakha district, Modi would lay foundation for a Bulk Drug Park in 2,000 acres. The government would spend Rs 1,876 crore and an investment of around Rs 10-14,000 crore is expected, once it is established.
Already the government handed over works worth Rs 900 crore to contractors. Over 28,000 people are likely to be employed in this facility. The central government decided to set up Bulk Drug projects in three areas in the country and one of them has been sanctioned to AP.
Apart from these, he will also lay the foundation for several road widening works and highways, railway lines.
