Modi’s Reforms Made India Global Economic Power: Satya Kumar
Satya Kumar said exports increased from $310 billion to $824 billion, while highway expansion, green corridors and railway development had generated employment opportunities.

Vijayawada: Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed India into one of the world’s strongest economies through reforms and welfare initiatives during his 12-year tenure.
Addressing a press conference, he said the BJP would conduct awareness programmes from June 5 to 21 highlighting the achievements of the Union government. Plantation drives will be organised on World Environment Day, along with visits to projects implemented with central funds and media briefings on government initiatives.
The minister said India has risen to fourth place globally in economic growth due to Modi’s reforms. He claimed that social security coverage increased from 19 per cent to 64.3 per cent and cited schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, free cooking gas, safe drinking water and free rice distribution as measures that improved living standards.
He said exports increased from $310 billion to $824 billion, while highway expansion, green corridors and railway development had generated employment opportunities.
Satya Kumar also promoted organic farming and cautioned against excessive use of fertilisers, stating it could increase cancer risks. He said awareness on central schemes would be disseminated through digital displays at bus stands and railway stations.
He criticised YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, questioning the purpose of his protests and accusing him of ignoring welfare implementation by the coalition government.
The minister defended the ongoing voter list revision process, describing it as a constitutional exercise aimed at removing bogus votes and ensuring eligible citizens are included in the electoral rolls.
