AP: Mother Continues Seeking Justice 7 Years After Sugali Preeti's Murder

Vijayawada: Parvati, Sugali Preeti's mother, is continuing to fight for justice even though it is seven years since her daughter had been assaulted and murdered.

On Tuesday, Preeti's mother met home minister Anita to seek her intervention into resolving her daughter's murder case.

Parvati said the previous government had issued a GO (government order) to transfer Sugali Preeti's case to the CBI. But the investigation has not yet commenced, even though Parvati had travelled to Delhi to pursue the case.

She pleaded to the home minister to get the case investigated quickly and ensure that justice is done.

Anita assured Parvati that investigation into the case will be handed over to the state’s CID (Crime Investigation Department) for a thorough probe.
