Launches 38 industrial parks at MSME Growth Summit in Vijayawada, stresses job creation and innovation

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday unveiled an ambitious roadmap to transform Andhra Pradesh into a major MSME and knowledge-economy hub by launching 38 MSME parks, virtually.

Simultaneously, he announced a series of industrial and technology initiatives at the One Family – One Entrepreneur MSME Growth Summit 2026 held in Vijayawada.

Addressing the summit after inaugurating the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Kalavedika in Vijayawada and virtually laying foundation stones for 38 MSME parks across the state, the chief minister announced an ambitious target of creating one crore entrepreneurs under the government’s One Family-One Entrepreneur initiative.

Stating that the government was according top priority to youth and women empowerment, Naidu said the MSME sector provided the ideal platform for young people to convert innovative ideas into successful enterprises. He said the state government had released `558 crore as incentives to MSMEs and would soon launch the AP cluster development programme with an outlay of `200 crore.

Highlighting the importance of the MSME sector, the CM said this was the second-largest employment generator in the country after agriculture, and possessed the capacity to transform small ideas into large industries.

He announced incentives for private industrial parks and cited Sri City as a successful industrial development model.

Referring to women empowerment, he said self-help groups in the state currently possessed a corpus fund of `28,000 crore. The government planned to transform five lakh women from DWCRA groups into entrepreneurs during the current year.

The CM said startups would be promoted through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and set a target of creating 100 unicorn companies from Andhra Pradesh.

Reiterating the slogan “Village to Global Market,” he advocated the concept of a circular economy in which industrial waste from one industry could become raw material for another, thereby strengthening the MSME ecosystem.

The chief minister said banks had already extended loans exceeding `2.11 lakh crore to MSMEs in the state. The state government had prepared a special action plan under the Credit Guarantee Scheme to facilitate loans worth `5,000 crore and was also taking steps to revive struggling MSMEs.

Announcing a special programme for aspiring entrepreneurs, Naidu said loans of up to `1 crore would be extended to encourage new ventures.

Outlining the government’s three-region development strategy, the CM said Visakhapatnam would be developed as a global data centre hub, Amaravati as a Quantum Valley for quantum computing equipment manufacturing and the Puttaparthi-Bengaluru belt as a defence corridor.

He also announced that a fifth-generation fighter jet testing facility would come up in Rayalaseema within 36 months.

Naidu said the government was investing `40,000 crore to transform Rayalaseema into a horticulture hub and develop tourism destinations such as Suryalanka Beach and Gandikota into world-class attractions. He added that Andhra Pradesh had attracted investments worth `23 lakh crore in the last 23 months.

“Our government follows the model of signing, grounding and opening industries,” he said, while announcing that five more convention centres similar to the newly inaugurated Ambedkar Kalavedika would be established across the state.

Ministers T.G. Bharath, Kondapalli Srinivas, Dola Sree Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, MP Kesineni Shivnath, MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and others attended the programme.
