Naidu Calls Upon People to Participate in Census Process in AP

Naidu said that the State government is working with an aim of ensuring that the benefits of welfare and development reach all citizens equally

Amaravati: As part of the self-enumeration program that began in the State on Thursday, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu registered his details through the online portal.

As part of the house-to-house census program, Naidu entered his details through the website se.census.gov.in. The self-enumeration process, which consists of a total of 33 questions, was explained to the Chief Minister by AP Census Director J. Nivas.

He informed that people can register details of their households online until April 30. From May 1 to May 30, enumerator officials will visit houses and carry out the physical house listing process.

Responding to this, Naidu said that the State government is working with an aim of ensuring that the benefits of welfare and development reach all citizens equally. For this, it is necessary to consider the family as a unit and design development plans.

He clarified that the census program is extremely crucial in achieving this goal. The Chief Minister said that this is the first census being conducted in Andhra Pradesh after the State bifurcation and that it is not just about data collection but also lays a strong foundation for development.

He stated that the census program will be conducted in two phases, with house listing starting from today in the first phase. In the second phase, which will begin next year, population enumeration will commence.

He urged people to make use of the opportunity to register their details online in the ongoing house listing (House Listing–House Census program). He requested citizens to provide accurate information to contribute to the state’s development and called upon everyone to participate in making the census program a success.
