Naidu Government Misused Institutions To Fabricate Cases: YSRC
Speaking to the media, Jagan Reddy said the Naidu-led government misused every institution to fabricate false cases and coerce complainant Satyavardhan to reverse his earlier confession before the judiciary.

Vijayawada: Protesting against the “fabrication of a case and illegal arrest” of Vallabhaneni Vamsi, YSR Congress president and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday warned the police against law violations.
“Do not play into the hands of your political bosses. You will face the consequences in the days to come,” Jagan Reddy warned cops after he visited Vasmi at the sub-jail where he’s currently placed.
Speaking to the media, Jagan Reddy said the Naidu-led government misused every institution to fabricate false cases and coerce complainant Satyavardhan to reverse his earlier confession before the judiciary. Vasmi’s arrest was carried out in a huff with false charges, he said.
Narrating the sequence of events that led to the arrest, Jagan Reddy said that on February 11, police threatened Vasmi’s family members and they took a statement from his brother the next day, that “Vamsi had kidnapped Satyavardhan.” A day later, Vamsi was arrested, he said.
The entire process was carried out by false testimonials. The police are arresting people at will. Satyvardhan's statement was taken in the evening after the arrest of Vamsi, he said.
Jagan said false cases were being filed against Nandigam Suresh, Vamsi, Nani and others. The reason for the attack on the Gannavaram TD office was the provocative remarks of TD leader K Pattabhi, who abused Vamsi. On the next day, Pattabhi came to Gannavaram and raised the pitch of his abuses and assaulted a Dalit sarpanch and an inspector, he stated.
Jagan Reddy alleged that the police were also being misused to manipulate local body elections through kidnaps, coercion, and intimidation even to get minor posts like vice chairperson and deputy mayor, though the TD did not have seats.
He added, “Elections are postponed at places where they could not carry out kidnaps. There is utter chaos and lawlessness in the state. The highhandedness was glaring at Pidguguralla, Tuni, and Palakonda where democracy was mocked.”
