Vijayawada:The ‘At Home’ function hosted by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and First Lady Sameera Nazeer on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day celebrations was held at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday, in a cordial atmosphere.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, along with his wife N. Bhuvaneswari, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur along with his wife Gudiya Thakur, have graced the occasion. Interestingly, none from the YSRC neither party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy nor party leaders attended At Home programme.
Nadendla Manohar, minister of civil supplies, food and consumer affairs, Nara Lokesh, minister of information technology and communication & HRD, Kollu Ravindra, minister for mines and geology, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, judges and registrars of Andhra Pradesh High Court, chief information commissioner and members of information commission, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, All India Service officers, leaders of political parties, defence service officers and special invitees, including sportspersons, Padma awardees, winners of Police Medals, freedom fighters, were among other dignitaries who have attended the function.
Earlier, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer went around and personally greeted the guests who attended the At Home function.
