Chandrababu Naidu promises manpower to industries through skill training

Naidu held a review meeting at the Secretariat with officials from the departments of skill development, , MSME, industries and SERP, focusing on providing employment opportunities to the youths

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said the government would fulfil the election promise of creating two million job opportunities in the next five years, mostly in the private sector.

Naidu held a review meeting at the Secretariat with officials from the departments of skill development, , MSME, industries and SERP, focusing on providing employment opportunities to the youths.

He asked officials to ensure that there is no shortage of human resources to the industries by promoting skill training.

Naidu said there is a possibility of creating employment opportunities on a large scale through skill development. Priority should be given to work-from-home through the Hybrid system, he said.

“Arrange skill training centres with the help of multinational companies and study the possibility of creating employment opportunities in the flood-hit areas,” he asked the officials.

The chief minister said the state’s economic growth would be high if employment opportunities are provided to people in rural areas. Both the government and industrialists should work together for this purpose, he said.

Officials were told to come up with an action plan in the next meeting on creation of new employment opportunities in the state.
