Naidu unveils Swarna Naravaripalle

TIRUPATI: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled his “Swarna Naravaripalle Vision” aimed at revolutionising rural life in Andhra Pradesh.

To start with, the new initiative will focus on the Naravaripalle cluster, consisting of 33 habitations and 5,300 residents. The pilot programme aims to improve the quality of life for the area’s residents, following in the footsteps of “Swarna Andhra Pradesh Vision – 2029” and the “Swarna Kuppam Vision.”

Speaking at the launch of “Swarna Naravaripalle Vision” event at Naravaripalle, Chandrababu Naidu declared: “What we do here in Naravaripalle village will be replicated in other parts of Andhra Pradesh. This is just the beginning,” he said, underscoring the project’s potential in driving rural development state-wide.

Revealing his plans for rural development, the Chief Minister emphasised that human resources are key to driving change. “We aim to create one entrepreneur in every household as part of this transformation,” he said. He highlighted that the government intends to harness the potential of agriculture and dairy farming, encouraging a shift from current farming methods to more sustainable practices.

Naidu said Sri City industrial area in Tirupati district employs 60,000–70,000 people across 250–300 industries, adding that Sri City will help develop Rangampeta Zilla Parishad High School with an AI lab through a ₹1.10 crore investment. He committed to making the region open-defecation-free by February 2025 with additional toilets, while announcing NTR Bharosa pensions from next month and completion of 286 housing units this year. He assured that gas connections will reach remaining households this month, with plans for piped gas systems.

The Chief Minister further addressed water supply concerns, unveiling the government's efforts under the Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure 24/7 access to safe drinking water for 87 households. “Water scarcity is a pressing issue, and we are committed to solving it by bringing Handri-Neeva water to areas like Kalluru, Mangalam Peta, and Kotala,”, he pointed out.

Naidu announced subsidies for solar energy solutions—₹78,000 for 3-kilowatt rooftop panels and ₹60,000 for 2-kilowatt panels—aiming to reduce dependency on conventional energy sources and promote clean energy adoption. He said they are prioritising agriculture with a focus on natural farming and micro-irrigation, offering farmers up to 90 per cent subsidies. He urged farmers to shift from traditional crops like rice and sugarcane to profitable horticulture and dairy farming, adding that they will introduce drones for modern farming techniques.

The Chief Minister said they will invest ₹8 crore in road construction from Rangampeta to Bhimavaram and Mangalampeta, along with cement concrete roads throughout the cluster. He stated that healthcare facilities will be upgraded to serve 5,000 people with mid-day meals for patients.

A new waste management system will be implemented with three collection vehicles, he added.
