Naidu Visits Pawan Kalyan Post Surgery

Andhra Pradesh CM meets Deputy CM at Hyderabad residence, wishes speedy recovery

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday visited Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at his residence in Hyderabad and advised him to strictly follow doctors’ recommendations and take complete rest following a recent surgery.

Pawan Kalyan, who is recuperating at his Jubilee Hills residence after undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, received the Chief Minister along with his wife Anna Konidela.
During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan briefed Naidu on the medical complications that led to the surgery. What was initially believed to be a sinus-related issue developed into a serious infection affecting his eye, necessitating surgical intervention. Doctors reportedly performed Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) to treat the condition.
He informed the Chief Minister that he was still experiencing mild nasal bleeding post-surgery, though doctors have assured that it would subside within a week.
Pawan Kalyan also spoke about long-standing injuries sustained during action sequences in his film career, stating that he had neglected them over the years. Doctors have identified a rotator cuff injury near the shoulder, which has persisted for nearly five years, and have advised further treatment, including the possibility of another surgery.
Responding to this, Naidu stressed the importance of prioritising health and advised him to avoid excessive official engagements until full recovery. He also noted that Pawan Kalyan had continued departmental reviews and file clearances even after surgery, and urged him to limit work to medically recommended levels.
The Chief Minister wished him a speedy recovery and emphasised the need for adequate rest and treatment.
Earlier in the day, Naidu paid tributes to noted industrialist G.N. Naidu, chairman of the Regency Group, who recently passed away. He visited the industrialist’s residence in Hyderabad and offered floral tributes.
Describing him as a visionary entrepreneur, Naidu said his contribution to employment generation and industrial growth would be remembered. He also lauded his role in social service.
Minister for education, IT and electronics Nara Lokesh also paid homage and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family, calling his demise an irreparable loss to the industrial sector.
