Naidu Vows ‘Simple, Effective Governance’ With New Appointees
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said his selection of leaders for nominated posts will be based on the parameters of their hard work, sacrifice, performance, loyalty and discipline.
Some 30,000 applications were scrutinised and opportunities were given to alliance leaders based on their merit. More posts would be filled thus in the coming days, Naidu said on Sunday.
Wishing the leaders who were nominated for various posts, the Chief Minister said, ”We all got a very good opportunity to serve the people. We have made it clear that ours is political governance."
He added, “Political governance means that those who got these nominated posts too should become partners in the welfare that is extended to the people. Utilise this opportunity to serve the people and try to get a good name to the government and the party," he told those who got the nominated posts.
Recalling that the selection of the TD candidates had been made by taking the people's view through IVRS, Naidu said that the people have welcomed this system. “Thus they have given a historic verdict to the TD-led alliance, with a 93 per cent success rate.”
In the selection to the nominated posts too, “preference is given to those who have faced the atrocities of the previous government in a daring manner,” he stated.
"We will give posts to more leaders in the coming days. Many leaders will get posts of directors of various corporations," he maintained.
He said, “Those who got the nominated posts should keep in view the slogan 'simple government and effective governance' and mingle with the people," he said.
“You should get a good name for the government and should never exhibit any kind of egos,” Naidu advised those who got the nominated posts in the second list.
