Naidu Seeks to Restore Ties with Singapore

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday directed the Chief Minister’s Office to hold talks and revive the reputation and credibility of Andhra Pradesh among various nations, including Singapore.

At a meeting with CMO officials, he pointed out that the reputation of AP got into jeopardy when the previous YSR Congress government revoked several agreements made with foreign countries. The revocation had come even though these agreements had been reached after holding a series of consultations and taking into consideration the opinion of all sections of people.

Chandrababu Naidu underlined that such unreasonable actions of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government had caused great damage to the image of AP at the international level.

He emphasised that AP requires international support to develop in various sectors. Help of the Singapore government is required in developing the capital city of Amaravati.

The Chief Minister wanted officials to make all out efforts to resume consultations with foreign governments and international agencies, so that mutual trust is restored. This would encourage them to start working with Andhra Pradesh, like in the past, for development of the state.
