Kurnool: A private bus driver dozed off behind the wheel and crashed into an incoming lorry on NH-44 near Dhone town, Nandyal in the early hours of Saturday. The driver died on the spot and ten passengers were injured.
The private bus belonged to Orange Travels, it is said to have overturned before crashing into the lorry.
The deceased bus driver Satish (28) is from Khammam district in Telangana.
Dhone circle inspector Imtiaz Basha said the bus was moving at a high speed.
The injured were treated at a local hospital and continued their journey in alternate buses.
A case has been registered.
