Nellore's Talpagiri Temple to undergo major revamp
The historicSri Talpagiri Ranganatha Swamy templein Nellore city is poised for a significant facelift, announced state endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy during a visit on Monday. Reddy, accompanied by Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and municipal administration minister Ponguru Narayana, inspected the temple's addala mandapam and ghat area.
Addressing media personnel, the minister outlined the endowments department's priorities: the centennial renovation of the addala mandapam, meticulous restoration of its historical paintings, and the completion of the ghat construction at the temple's rear.
Ramanarayana Reddy stressed the importance of consulting with temple priests and vastu experts to ensure the restoration enhances the temple's grandeur.
"We are fully committed to the temple's comprehensive development," he declared. Minister Ponguru Narayana pledged to initiate the addala mandapam and ghat development promptly, collaborating with relevant officials. Temple chairman Manchikanti Srinivasu, executive officer Srinivasulu Reddy, deputy mayor Roop Kumar Yadav, and local leaders were present during the visit.
