Vijayawada: Governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer issued notifications on Tuesday, appointing vice-chancellors for nine universities in the state.
Prof Prasanna Sree, Professor of English, at Andhra University, has been appointed as vice-chancellor of Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram.
Prof K. Ramji from the department of MED College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, is named as vice-chancellor to Krishna University, Machilipatnam.
Prof V Uma, professor, and vice-chancellor in-charge of Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, is appointed as VC there.
Prof H Sudarshan Rao, vice chancellor in-charge of JNTU, Anantapur and professor of civil engineering there, has been made there.
Venkata Basava Rao, senior professor of chemical engineering in Osmania University becomes the VC of Rayalaseema University, Kurnool.
Prof Allam Srinivasa Rao, professor, luminescent materials in the department of Applied Physics, Delhi Technological University, Delhi, is named VC to Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore.
