No special darshans during Brahmotsavams

Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced a series of changes regarding darshan and accommodation during the nine-day Srivari annual Brahmotsavam, set to take place from October 4 to 12, with the Ankurarpanam ritual kicking off the festivities on October 3.

To ensure that more pilgrims can have a comfortable darshan of the deity at the hill temple, TTD has decided to cancel several Arjita Sevas and privileged darshans during the nine-day festival. This includes darshan reserved for parents with infants, senior citizens and individuals with physical disabilities. Additionally, VIP break darshans will be suspended, with only Protocol VIPs permitted entry, and even then, only if they self-report upon arrival.
As the large crowds expected during the Brahmotsavam, TTD has also imposed restrictions on the availability of accommodation for donors. During the Brahmotsavams, rooms and cottages generally reserved for donors associated with various TTD trusts and schemes will not be available. This measure is intended to prioritise accommodations for the general pilgrims.
However, donors will still be granted darshan privileges on specific days, such as Dhwajarohanam on October 4 and Chakra Snanam on October 12, as per their entitlements. TTD urged all devotees and donors to take note of these changes and cooperate with management to conduct a smooth and successful celebration of the annual Brahmotsavam.
