Visakhapatnam: Nursing student critically injured in tragic accident

Visakhapatnam: A nursing student sustained severe burn injuries after becoming entangled in electric wires while allegedly attempting to scale her hostel's compound wall at a private hospital nursing school in Visakhapatnam.

The victim, identified as Sneha from West Bengal, suffered 70% burns and is currently receiving treatment. Her parents had staged a protest outside the hospital, demanding justice for their daughter.
Fourth Town Circle Inspector, Vijay Kumar who is handling the case (FIR No. 290/24), confirmed that the student is now in stable condition. "We have initiated an investigation into the incident," the CI stated. "While some reports suggest she was trying to receive a biryani packet from a staff member, others indicate she was attempting to leave the premises for leisure purposes."
He further said that while CCTV cameras are installed on the campus, but are not operational and also dismissed the rumours circulating about the presence of OYO rooms below the hostel compound.
